Party Season Starts Here – Extending Garden Tables and Add-ons

Summer has officially started, launching the traditional garden party season in the British Isles – the ‘Party Season Starts Here’ .  As a nation not known for our optimism in most areas, we remain stubbornly hopeful that the sun will shine and we will be having our parties outdoors this year.  This weekend alone, we’re going to three different social events, and I’m pretty confident that the garden seating solutions will be different at each of them.

Party Season Starts HereThe Advantages of an Extending Garden Table

When you are investing in new outdoor furniture, do consider exactly how you will be using it.  Are you the sort of family who will be eating breakfast outdoors on every fine day between May and September?  Or do you really plan to use your patio furniture only on high days and holidays when you’ll be barbecuing for a crowd?   If it’s the latter, when size is everything, consider one of our extending metal outdoor tables where you can go from an 8-seater to a 12-seater or a 10-seater to the mother of all banqueting tables, where you can comfortably seat 14.  These are a great option for larger families or serious society hostesses.

Party Season Starts Here – Doubling up with an Occasional Table

Take a leaf out of the restaurateur’s book.  If you have rattan garden furniture set, your table size will be set.  However, the clean lines of the new rattan outdoor sets mean that these angular tables lend themselves to add-ons.  When you purchase your rattan patio furniture, if you go for a rectangular set, you can pick up a matching occasional table or small bistro set which will give you all the flexibility you need, without having a huge table that is hardly ever used.

The smaller table will easily sit next to the larger table to extend your seating when needed.  When you are not catering for the masses, it will be equally useful as a handy surface next to the barbecue or used bistro style for intimate dining.
